INDONESIA: YOUTH PROGRAMME

A) Baduy Tribes

Day 1
Morning departure from Jakarta, proceed on journey of about 4 hours to Rangkasbitung. The trekking will start from Ciboleger - the last car stop point - 2 hours trekking for Gajeboh through hills and scenic view - overnight in typical local house at Gajeboh.

Day 2
After breakfast depart for the exploration to outer Baduy villages - Cicakal Muara, Cigula (passing through Dandang Lake), Karahkal, and Kadujangkung (you will be able to see their daily activities). Overnight in the village of Kadujangkung.

Day 3
After breakfast trekking to Kaduketer, continue to Ciboleger where you will be picked up, then return to Jakarta.

B) Mt. Halimun National Park

Day 1
Morning departure from Jakarta, proceed on journey to the location - via the eastern entrance at Parungkuda, it will take approximately 3 hours drive. Stop at the Cikaniki Station Research - after lunch - trek to the lodge at Citalahab.

Trekking through the rainforest and tea plantation - evening fire camp - the park guide will show you how to make the traditional trap and get acquainted with the nature resources (plants) for survival. Overnight in the simple PPA lodge.

Day 2
Early morning short trekking into the forest to observe the "just wake up" animals then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, your guide will teach you on survival in the forest including on how to build a traditional "animal" trap - put it in the proper places. Continue the trekking to the Cikudapah waterfall. Enroute passing the scenic view, camp in tents by the riverside. The guide will show you the jungle survival cooking techniques whilst they prepare dinner - evening program, night observation - observe the wild animals on their way back home.

Day 3
After breakfast, re-pack and morning departure from the camp site and return to the lodge. Going down the hill - trekking to Cikudapah waterfalls - site orientation - lunch by the riverside and prepare for the river crossing using ropes. Continue trekking to the lodge at Citalahab, and proceed to return to Jakarta.

C) Citarik River: CITARIK River Rafting & Turtle Watch UJUNGGENTENG

Day 1
JAKARTA - CITARIK Morning departure to Caldera Indonesia Resort (approx. 4 hours) and once they arrived, lunch will be provided. Afterward, they are being educated on how to build tent. In the afternoon session, participants will enjoying "Alligator River Rafting" which is about 9 km starting from Parakantelu to Tangkolo village, guided by expert river-guide. Then participants will experiencing flying fox accross the river (the one and only in Indonesia). At night, bonfire and fun games are provided for participants.

Day 2
CITARIK - UJUNGGENTENG After breakfast at Calindo, participants will go to UJUNGGENTENG with microbus, taking about 5 hours through Jampang Kulon and Cikaso. The road is rather bumpy. If there is enough time, they will take you to see Cigangsa waterfalls at Cikaso. You will be expected to arrive at lunch time at Pondok ADI. After lunch is free-session for participants. They can do optional activities as follow: swimming or surfing, see ocean park, fishing (casting or bottom fishing), and fish auctions. At night time, you will see the process of laying eggs from tortoise in Ujunggenteng, an hour from Pangumbahan beach. Pangumbahan beach is 4 km from Pondok ADI. Participants will be picked up with land-rover or other off-road vehicle, guided by local guide. This activities will be ended approximately at 1am.

Day 3
UJUNGGENTENG - PELABUHAN RATU - JAKARTA Breakfast at Pondok ADI then off to Pelabuhan Ratu to see fisherman activities. Lunch at Pondok Dewata restaurant then off to Jakarta.
